The Duxbury Lawn Party

For over 35 years, Mrs. Ralph E. Thompson has opened her oceanfront home on King Caesar Rd for the Annual Duxbury Lawn Party. This well attended event is held rain or shine with over 400 people of all ages attending and co-ordinates with the DYC member/guest golf tournament. The JHClub sends invitations to all club members, friends, doctors, hospital staff, past party goers and attendees and is open to the public. The event is well publicized around several towns with posters in local business and newspapers ads. The Duxbury Clipper always runs a full page editorial and photographs after the party. Guests enjoy a wonderful wine tasting generously sponsored by Pioppi’s Package Store, a fresh seafood display donated by Jan Phillips of Simply Divine, and all the passed hors’devours donated by many volunteers. We are grateful to Cranberry Graphics for donating the entire cost of our invitations and posters.
